BellSouth Volunteers

The BellSouth Pioneers presented a $3,000 check to Search Dogs South. This non-profit, United Way supported organization, is the Mid-South’s rapid response team in the event of missing person events.

The Pioneers sold hundreds of patriotic T-shirts following the Sept 11 attacks. All proceeds were pledged to support an unspecified relief type group. After reviewing local options, Search Dogs South was selected

One of the additional aspects of the BellSouth Pioneers sponsorship is the availability of stuffed animal collectibles. Search Dogs South instituted a “Furry Friends” program with these stuffed animals for lost children, when found, and also for nursing home residents and children’s hospitals with our pet therapy programs.
